On Friday, 7 June 2024, our company trip to the beautiful Salzkammergut began on the occasion of our 5th company anniversary. After a welcome drink and a 2-course meal, we travelled to Bad Dürrnberg to the valley station of the Zinken lifts. There we started our panoramic hike along the water pipe path up to the 1337 metre high Zinkenkopf. After the hike, we stopped off at the Zinkenstüberl mountain restaurant and enjoyed an Alpine snack with a view of the Salzach Valley. We returned to the valley on the Keltenblitz summer toboggan run or the chairlift. Back at the hotel, we rounded off the day with a barbecue on the terrace.
On Saturday, 8 June 2024, we started the day with a breakfast buffet and then drove to the Schafberg station in St. Wolfgang. There we started a bike tour along Lake Wolfgangsee and continued the journey on a ferry. The steepest cog railway in Austria took us further up the Schafberg, or alternatively some of us hiked to the Schafbergspitze. At the summit, we stopped off at Haus Schafbergspitze and enjoyed the view of seven lakes. After some free time, we took the Schafberg cable car back down to the valley and took advantage of the wellness facilities in the hotel’s 350m² SPA Bergwelt. We spent the evening together over dinner and a schnapps tasting.
On Sunday, 9 June 2024, we started with a breakfast buffet and then visited Hellbrunn Palace and the trick fountains. The afternoon offered various activities: a historical outdoor scavenger hunt, a Stiegl scavenger hunt with beer tasting or a Prison Break Escape Room. We then had free time to explore the old town before travelling home.
