VTW only started its own apprentice training program in September 2022. Three years later, in September 2025, the first apprentice successfully completed the program – an important milestone in the company’s young training history. “Training young skilled workers is central to our business. We award bonuses of up to €1,500 for excellent performance at the end of the apprenticeship. In this way, we reward commitment and demonstrate the high value we place on apprentice training,” emphasizes Christian Weber, Head of Human Resources. VTW took on another apprentice in September this year – and is looking ahead: for 2026, the company is looking for motivated young people who would like to learn the dual apprenticeship of plastics process engineering/metal technology – toolmaking. Taster days are available at any time and offer an authentic insight into the dual apprenticeship, the team, and high-tech manufacturing.
