With the installation of almost 600 PV modules in February 2022 with a total output of 240 kWp, VTW once again demonstrates that sustainability and environmental awareness are very important to Waidhofen mouldmaking. With this plant on the roof of the company building, around 20% of the energy requirement will be generated from solar energy in the future. The rest will be provided by electricity from renewable energy sources. As a responsible company, sustainable and efficient construction has played a major role from the very beginning. By using heat pumps, combined with building core activation and a heat recovery system from machines and processes, the company can completely do without fossil fuels.
