With a whole boot full of trade fair equipment we visited Fakuma 2021 from 12 – 16 October 2021 in Friedrichshafen (Germany). “It is very gratifying that Fakuma could take place this year despite the pandemic and that we were able to refresh contacts from the past in person,” Markus Böhm elaborates. Due to the travel restrictions and the prevailing uncertainty, there were some 35% fewer visitors this year than in the record year of 2017, but nevertheless significantly more international visitors on the trade fair grounds than many had suspected. The upward trend in the plastics industry was clearly noticeable.
Our professional and meaningful image video on the screen caught the eyes of the trade visitors and we received a lot of positive feedback. The led-up display and the newly designed product posters rounded off the picture of the successful trade fair stand. On a stand area of 36 square metres, Said Afendi, Markus Böhm, Marco Rosati and Jürgen Stocklasser brought potential customers closer to our competences and established valuable customer contacts.
But we did not only score with know-how and competence, the handmade chocolates from Waidhofen in various regional flavours were very well received by visitors from all over the world. Manfred Schinko and Christian Rada, as well as the project team consisting of Rainer Gutkas, Markus Stocklasser and Johannes Winkelbauer, also mingled with the trade fair visitors for a day in order to take advantage of the opportunity to talk to important contacts and to find out about new technical developments in the industry.
Despite the circumstances, Fakuma 2021 was a success and we are looking forward to K2022, where we will once again present our products and expertise together with our colleagues from Vasantha.
