VTW opened its doors again this year to give holiday interns the opportunity for a one-month internship during the summer months. Bruno Zimmermann made a start and took on activities in the warehouse as well as in production and building services. Fabian Kössner also helped out energetically in the warehouse and independently took over warehouse accounting using the ERP system. He not only prepared tool components for shipment for external processing, but also unpacked delivered parts, checked them and handed them out internally. Of course, trial apprentices are also welcome at any time to gain their own insight into the world of toolmakers. After making an appointment by telephone with apprentice trainer Reinhard Christian (0664 46 77 563), the duration and timing can be individually determined. “Above all, the appreciative approach and the fact that we take time for the trial apprentices and trainees was mentioned particularly often and positively by the respondents. In addition to an interesting profession, the modern working environment was also at the forefront of the positive responses,” emphasizes VTW HR Manager Christian Weber. The new VTW apprentice Georg Hörndl has also taken a great liking to VTW and its diverse areas of activity and has decided to do a double apprenticeship as a plastics process technician and toolmaking technician. “We are very pleased to welcome a new, young and motivated employee to VTW. We wish Georg all the best for the start of his apprenticeship and we will of course try to support him as best we can,” Weber addresses the new team member and is pleased to announce that apprentices will again be accepted in 2024.
