The interns Elias Schinko (grammar school Waidhofen) and Sandra Fröhlich (3rd grade at DigBiz Waidhofen) were able to experience for themselves what lies behind the name VTW during their one-month internship in the summer months and actively lend a hand to the 60-member team. Already on the first day, the two were able to get to know the premises during a tour of the company – in the course of which a dreamlike view over the whole of Waidhofen awaited them from the roof at the end. “Already on the first day of my internship I could feel that I am exactly right here at VTW. Everyone greeted me warmly and gave me a smile. It felt as if a big family had taken me in and I was part of this team,” Sandra Fröhlich describes her very first experience in the Waidhofen company. From the beginning, she followed the development of VTW and the construction progress on her way to the business academy with great interest. At that time, she understandably did not know much about toolmaking. Her sister, who is also a VTW employee, enlightened Sandra and kept giving her insights into this industry. “It had fascinated me before and it still does. Experiencing and following all the processes up close tops it all again,” she recalls of her experience. She is impressed by how much precision, planning and experience as well as technical knowledge are behind the name VTW. “I want to expand my IT knowledge even further and have found that company that fulfils all the values I was looking for.” They were able to put their knowledge into practice with the Adobe programmes Photoshop, Premiere and InDesign in the area of image processing, video editing and the design of advertising posters, as well as BMD in the area of financial accounting.
